Crocheted Doxie

I'm really intrigued by amigurumi. In case you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, amigurumi is the japanese art of crocheting small dolls or toys. It's also fun to say....amigurumi!!! Just google it if you wanna know more, there is some really wild and wacky amigurumi out there! :D

Being the weiner-dog lover that I am, when I saw this little amigurumi doxie pattern, I had to try to create one!
Aren't his eyes bonkers? I didn't have any animal eyes, so I winged it and just stitched some on. I'm wishing I'd have practiced first, but he's still cute, right?

I think the funniest things about this pattern are the nose and tail...they are so true to dachshund form. :) Despite his Princess Leia ears and wonky eyes, my kids loved this little toy! I'm going to look for some animal eyes next time I go to the craft store, that or practice my embroidery skillz! :D

Be blessed!
Amy

So freakin' cute! I saw one of these the other day and thought "Oh my gosh, I have to tell Amy about that!" I guess I didn't need to!

I know what you mean about the Imirigumi! Wait, maybe I didn't spell that right. Anyway, I picked up one of the books at Hobby Lobby with my 40% coupon. So far I have tried to crochet the egg...lol.
