Lots 'O Altered Frames

Every year at Christmastime, we give our grandparents and parents a pic of our kids in front of our tree. I usually buy frames, but decided this year to try altering some wood frames I found at Target in the Dollar Spot. (I love the Dollar Spot, by the way.) I used this tutorial by a fellow crafter.
Here's how the frames started out. I snagged this pic from the blog linked above because I forgot to take a picture of what they looked like before I altered them! Mine were all black.

These are for my kiddos. I plan to put a great picture that L took of the dog in them.

Christmas/Winter frames. Both these use DCWV's Glitter Stack, ribbon and lots of buttons.

More from the Glitter Stack.

The one on the left is for my parents, and I think I may have to keep the paisley one for myself. :) I love paisleys!!
I was surprised how quickly these frames are to do. The worst part was the spray sealant, that's stinky stuff! Anyway, I have all kinds of ideas for frames made with birthday paper. I'll be on the lookout for more alterable stuff in the Dollar Spot.
I'm off to continue my Christmas crafty frenzy.....6 days and counting!!!
Be blessed,
Amy
