Pinwheel Blanket for Baby Wren

My life has taken some unexpected, yet happy, detours lately. I often find myself with not enough time to think, let alone to get crafty. Knitting however, I find incredibly therapeutic and I always make time for it. If I've got yarn in my lap, I'm a happy girl.  Something about the repetitive motions, and the feel of the yarn slipping through my fingers...aah...cathartic!!

This bright and happy blanket was made for my sweet little cousin, Kathryn, or Wren as she's called by those who love her. This was my first attempt at a knitted blanket, so there are several dropped stitches and mess ups, but it still turned out okay, I think. I used a pattern by Genia Planck located here, and Bernat Softee Baby Yarn in the colorway "Rock a Bye Baby". I added a scalloped crochet border.
